Building Unbiasedly: Why UX Research and Design Need More Women of Color

Women of color make up such a small percentage of the tech space and an even smaller number when factoring in the impactful field of User Experience (UX). In the tech intersections of software engineering and product, there is UX Design and Research. In our everyday lives we come into contact with Design and UX but unfortunately a lot of times these experiences are not designed with women and people of color in mind. This session will highlight the fundamentals of what is UX, the significance of UX and Design in our everyday lives and why we need more empathy & Women of Color in the industry to help create and build unbiased experiences.
